One Week of Twitter

O.k so, we had an interesting assignment this week in my Public Relations class. We had to complete a “Week of Twitter.” Pretty much the assignment was to spur us to connect to the world around us and network with individuals outside of our “circle”. This was interesting for two reasons.

1st: It allowed you to see the little things that people do and some of the things that they think about. I learned that a few members in our class are music enthusiasts, and that the taste vary. This was interesting to me because some people listen to things that you never thought they would…

2nd: Some people have a lot of spare time on their hands. I had to keep reminding myself to post to twitter, others had to force themselves to get off. I got a better understanding of personality types, and I hope that the people who’ve joined will continue to post throughout the semester.

I can definitely see how this site enables instant networking. I’ve gotten tweets from borderline celebrities, my friends and even helpful people in the field. A lot of the people I have come in contact with are students just like me, and I believe that the relationships that we are establishing can be beneficial to not just me, but to all of us. I know that I plan on continuing to use it and I’m glad that Mrs. Nixon introduced us to the world of Twitter.

’til next time, Be Blessed but more importantly, Be a Blessing!
